DANCE NIGHT IS OVER~~~!!!!!!
relieved..yet i am feeling a little sad. i have reached the end of my dance. thinking back..it was indeed a wonderful experience.
it all started when lynn and I were desperately looking for a CCA to join. it so happened that Mdm Ong, our chinese teacher, is the chinese dance teacher in charge. so she kinda persuaded us to join..and that's exactly wad we did. at first i felt like i was so totally out of place. i mean..i can't split. i can't dance for nuts. and going for practice was always a dreadful thing . i din really enjoy practices..especially when the old RJC hall was so dirty and warm. and I did at a point of time..felt REally ashamed to tell people i was from chinese dance.
then it was dance night 2004. i was the backstage crew. i have to say..i din enjoy it At all. but dance night last year was indeed a great success. (this year too!!) anyways..then came the exco selection. i got the publicitor job along with shiying. it was really the first happy thing i felt after joining chinese dance. hmm..then it was the CIP thing? bad bad experience. chinese dance experienced its first major internal conflict. there were tears, fustration and loads of misunderstandings. i really wanted to quit.
but i didn't. i din wanna run away from things i dislike. so i stayed on..and i am glad i did.
This year..chinese dance was a whole new experience for me. SYF changed everything. at first i didn't get in..but i did in the end. and all the intense practices really bonded us together. and when gold with honours was anounced. i cried. i was really happy.and was genuinely proud of chinese dance. it was also this year..that i got closer to dear Sarah and Shiying. they not only made my chinese dance life less dreadful..but my RJC life much happier too. and of course..i am happy to know mk and yuqing too. after SYF..came dance night. practices continued. my body was getting more and more tired by day. but all our effort paid off. we did well. we did too well. i am truely glad that i made the choice i regretted so much at first. chinese dance isn't sth to be ashamed of. the miraculous way of how culture is blended into our dance moves is already a fact wonderful enough for us to be proud of. i love wei wei, i love my dancers, i love my juniors. i just finished my last dance of my rj life..and probably my whole life. it was a great great journey..i am glad i get to experience it.
